LZ Granderson: For me as a black person, it's like when you're learning about therapy in the university, they're always teaching about working interracial. LZ: I realized that for many white people having an awareness of race is that they also need to have an anti racist perspective. He says racism is one of the primary ways of organizing our experience as U.S. citizens and Americans at large. The comedian has written several books on racial issues including "Racism Is Not An American Phenomenon," which was published by Simon & Schuster last year.
