In the last ten years, international stocks ave returned like five and a half %, and us. Stocks have returned something like 13%. So when i say recent under performance, i'm talking about the last decade or so,. And if you look at the reasons for that, there's a couple of them. One is the out performance of large and growth stocks, and thus the under performance of small and value stocks. International stocks are smaller and more valuy than us. The other huge factor that's been going the last few years is a strengthening dollar. It really says those two factors say nothing about how the companies are doing.
