The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's $3.6 Trillion Push to Cancel Rent
The president has more power on these things than he should, and that's just the way it has been. Bill Clinton's last budget was around $1.9 trillion, close to two, not quite. George W. Bush jacked that up by the end of his term to around $2.8 trillion. Trump comes in, boop, goose is it pre-COVID to closer to around $4.8 trillions. And this is going to last up until that moment when statutorily Medicare and Social Security, both of which are projected to do this within the next 10 years, don't have enough money to pay for their bills. So good luck to everyone.
