If we want to discover universal regularities that constrain what's possible for adapted information in the world, then we need to be investigating the phenomenon of adapted information at its most essential concept. The speed of light is interesting in so far as it's a universal regularity that constrains the motion of all physical objects in the field. But if you're going to talk about engineering a car to do 0 to 60 in two seconds, the speed oflight is never going to come up in that conversation.
