Why Is Article Six So Important to the Paris Agreement?

The european union has said that they wish to be essentially a net zero continent by 20 50. The idea, or the logic behind having a market place is that the countries with the higher abatement cost can say i'm going to pay you for that lower abatements cost opportunity. And that's exactly why the article six markets er exist.
