The Conflicting Goal of Transracial Adoption
The title comes from Tony Morrison, who I saw when I was working on the Charlie Rose Show. Growing up, I knew a fair number of kids of color who had been adopted by white families. And so there have been a lot of white parents of adopt of black children who have reached out and said it's really profoundly affected them. Rebecca says she doesn't necessarily trust that white audiences will do anything with this information.
