Grace O'Mali's Rule in Ireland
There was no national flag which bresomali could follow, or indeed any other leader or chieftain in ireland. Grace's rule in this is not what we might expect. We always like our heroines and heroes to be, i suppose, nationalistic, patriotic and engly,. In the case of grace o'mali and her time, that simply did not matter. She was really a pragmatist. And you had to be in order to survive, if you had to survive this upheaval.
