I had no idea of the extensiveness of sweets and the differences geographically. Mexico has a very rich sweet culture and it is very regional. There are certain sweets or desserts that you can find only in a specific town or a specific city or a specific region. A lot of these sweet traditions in Mexico, they're part of an oral tradition being passed down from generation to generation.
