Locke's Myth of Property

Eric Liu: In order to understand rules and laws, constitutions and norms, you have to look at how people interpret history. According to John Locke, God created all of creation without delineating property to any one person. He says that for an Indian who plucks an acorn or kills a deer, the acorn or the deer do no good to them unless they can make an individual property claim based on that. Liu: The theory that Locke hits on is labor, that people mix their labor with things out there in the world,. That's how they get a natural claim under natural law.
