The Evolution of Social Animals

Homo sapiens shows up as being a limit case of collective intelligence. It was commonplace pre what I call game air, pre the emergence of agricultural or complicated civilization. And that had the Dunbar style limits to certain forms of scaling. Game A discovered that by basically converting Homo sapiens into social insects, you could actually scale the number of people a whole lot larger than the Dunbar limit. But it's also always inexorably self terminating.
