The Power of Rhetoric
Many evangelicals, even the ones who don't say it, look at the numbers and the amount of money and the books that they're selling as a sign that they're preaching the true gospel. But when something they don't like does equally well, then they call it, say, tannic or they say, no, no, see, look, the world loves it. The idea of evangelical being completely taken over and owned by Christian nationalism just makes me nauseous. And there's something so stubborn in me where I'm like, no, you cannot have this title,. Someone else has gotta fight back."
