As we develop through childhood, our microbiome shifts very significantly as we change our diet. As people start to age and start to become frail, there are changes that happen within the microbiome. And it was quite difficult to pick out actually at the beginning whether or not that was because the body is changing and the host, therefore us, become slightly less of a good place to live for these microbes. Now some new studies coming out there, intervention studies, showing that actually you can change the microbiome and that change is associated with health. That's, I think really exciting.
