The Importance of Unspoken Words
Alex, my daughter had selected mutism and she wanted to help others understand what she was trying to say in different situations. She wrote the book Unspoken Words which is meant for children, teens, adults who have SM just to kind of give a perspective. It's interesting how children really relate to that term Unspoken Words when we read it to them at Communicamp as a group. They're like, oh my God, I feel like that. And so it really does validate their feelings.
