The dictation theory of scripture that just somehow the Holy Spirit just told the writers what to say is basically anti-incarnational. Just as Jesus is the word of God, both fully human and fully divine, so also is the Bible, fully human andfully divine. And I always find it quite ironic that people want to take the Bible and say, well, this is scientifically accurate because Christians who say that are ultimately saying that science has the highest truth claim. But God's revelation I hold as a higher truth claim than science," he says.
