The Liberal Party's Disquiet About Dutton's Strategy
Some Liberal backbenchers are concerned about Peter Dutton's strategy. The No campaign is out of sync with metropolitan voters, they say. If the Liberals want to get back into government, they will have to win back seats in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane - as well as over in Perth. Polls show that voters in metropolitan Australia favour the Yes vote. But there was an image this week of Labour Prime Minister Elbenizi waving off another former Liberal MP on a 14,000 kilometre run around Australia supporting the voice.
