The Evolution of Geometry
In the 1800s people developed non Euclidean geometries which were ways to interpret these rules that were not intended but you're stuck. This really gets at the heart of what's happening in mathematical logic these days is sort of understanding what axioms you need to prove various theorems yeah a lot of set theory studies study different interpretations of the basic rules of mathematics that disagree with each other.
