How to Out Pace Inflation Using Futures
Futures are an agreement to buy or sell a specific asset at a future date. Trend strategies, particularly the kind that they were modelling in their paper, used futures. A trend momentum strategy is where a particular security increases in price and continues to do so. When i saw this paper, i was pretty excited. This is an excellent way to out pace inflation. Then i dug a little deeper and found that i couldn't actually implement this on my own.
