The Importance of Solidarity in a We Society

I reject that because all my life I have fought against racism and homophobia and misogyny. The real debate we're having is about how we fight against it's easy to caricature the arguments as saying we shouldn't fight against these things, he says. So long as we think only in terms of our narrow identities then we will never be able to overcome the problems of racism or homophobia or misogyny for instance. We define solidarity not in identitarian terms but in political terms what matters in when it comes to solidarity is both political inequalities and the fact that we make common cause with those who believe the same as we do or the same as I do not which looks like me or has the same culture of me
