How to Approach It With Kindness

Sometimes when we turn on our compassion and give ourselves a little kindness, all that suffering comes rushing out. We call it the 'back draught' And overtime, with patience, little by little, you can work through this. If you found yourself getting the opposite of what you expected by being kind to yourself, that's probably what's going on. No one is undeserving of your own kind attention. I think practising in bed, ofinga before you fall asleep, is an interesting question that comes up. Thechallenge becomes, if you start to practise these things in order to sleep, that becomes a bit of a challenge, because it won't always work.
