In Mormonism, we're taught that if we get really strong, overwhelming feelings or emotions, that that is the Holy Ghost. There's an epistemological problem once people are led to believe that their feelings equal God's approval. And you can't really talk a person who's a committed believer out of their spiritual witness and we're actually not trying to do that for people that are open to considering evidence. We just want to at least raise some hopefully reasonable questions about our belief system.
