The Trial of Charles Rugg
Charles Rugg is indicted on seven counts, including two for first degree murder. He supposedly confessed to all three and actually said, I had an accomplice, but then he kept his mouth shut. The 1800s was a notorious time period for terrible reporting. Garrett Mayby took the stand to try to describe what it felt like to have this man who he thought was his friend take his wife and his child from him.
