Lock-in by John Scalsy
The book of the week that I'd like to recommend to you this week is Lock-In by John Scalsy. He started with an idea for a game for people who are locked into their bodies and using mechanical apparatus or threeps, short for 3PO, to move around. That idea is not in the novel anywhere. It's not even referred to in a side note or in a news broadcast. But all of the world building and other ideas they had that came with it are in the novel.
