The book has been rightly dinged I think and kendara is canon in general for how he portrays women. He's always kicking it off from this perspective of a dude who's justifying why he can cheat on his wife with like a philosophical exploration of the worldUm kind of a kind of a mess there so he is married to terraza who is a photographer who at one point in the book gets into some kind of dissident photojournalism where during the invasion at the end of the Prague spring she is photographing tanks and russian soldiers and then later on in the book you realize that the Soviets who have taken control have now used all of her photos uh to identify
