The Carabean Carnival

Nottinghill carnival was a measure imposed, i believe, in the sixties or seventies. Carabbean people came from countries where we celebrated yearly carnivals. So they wanted to start something over here that gave us the opportunity for us to celebrate our carabean heritage. Not until carnival has always been an event that has been except in and inviting to everybody. It's not sonot so much about the next to nothing, charley. It's about the plumage of the costumes.
