Don't get the feeling the movie is trying to undercut itself in that scene really I guess there's a an interpretation to be made about the storm is climate change and we're all in the same boat at the end of the day literally in this movie. Woody Harrelson's character kind of does a little bit what feels to me like preaches to the audience it like feels like the most on the nose moment in film. It definitely teeters almost into that territory of being like hey we're I'm trying to communicate a message to you yeah but maybe the irony of that is just part of the joke, he says.
