We estimate that a net gain can be reaped from replacing coal with renewables if the global average social cost of carbon is at least $20 per ton of CO2. There have been some progress in different areas, but I think people will come back to COP 27 and they will say, oh, not much happened. You've got to ask yourself at some point, how effective is this whole process? Carbon emissions keep rising.
