The Social Historical Contacts for the GMD and the CCP on Mass Education in Shanghai

At that time, the mass education movement led by Yang Yang Chu also known as James Yang, had arrived in Shanghai and draw lots of support from educators. So this is what I perceive as the social historical contacts for the GMD and the CCP when they start to collaborate on mass education in Shanghai. They want to engage those well-educated individuals who cared about mass education and dedicated themselves to these costs. Party leaders hope that through sponsoring mass education, they would able to evoke sympathy towards the party from the supporters of mass education.
