The Power of Generalization

The power of generalization is then there's less to learn. The idea of a reduction was not something that I knew I didn't study computer science major. It wasn't until I went to APL where you when you see a summation or a product, it's always a slash. There's all these differently named algorithms that there's absolutely nothing explicit that they are reductions. They just sort of take for granted and then I come in I'm holy smokes this is amazing.
