Havana and the British Attack in 1762

Havanna is situated at the intersection of the atlantic ocean, the caribean sea and the gulf of mexico. It commands a privileged post in those three waterways. So it can be useful for protecting ena, the southern part of north america,. The british are able to attack one of these forts and take it, and then attack the other side of the bay. And so they defeat the spanish. They relinquish havana to britain, and then an occupies it for ten months. During those ten months, the slave trade takes off. Sugar takes off, and trade with north america takes off.
