NATO's Support for Ukraine's Air Defense
NATO allies are looking at ways to train Ukrainian pilots on fourth-generation aircraft, which include the F-16s. President Biden has greenlit training for those jets; this will be a medium-term commitment. There is concern that if this scale of attacks continues, whether Ukraine will be able to successfully continue to defend itself. The U.S. does not support any Ukrainian attacks inside Russian territory itself.
