I think sometimes these books do not demonstrate what fine literary critics such as yourself, or people who think themselves fans of good writing desire in a modern novel. There is an ability to conjure arresting plot and heart turning emotional drama that is undervalued by practitioners of quadunquo literary fiction. And i don't feel that way.
