Cats Respond to Cat-Directed Voices

Researchers had cats listen to recordings of their owners saying things directed at other humans. Then they played a recording where the owner was clearly talking to the cat in that high-pitch voice used when talking only to their cat. In this first scenario, most of the cats responded to their owner's voice, but when they heard the stranger's voice, they didn't respond at all. And what about the third scenario, Guy Ros? Well, for the second and third scenarios, the researchers played a recording of the stranger doing the same thing, but first, talking to other humans. They found no real noticeable difference in their behavior.
