The Different Types of Heat Capacity
The heat capacity of an object is the amount of energy required to increase its temperature by one degree Celsius. The material out of which the object is made and the amount of material present, the more material that is present, the higher the heat capacity of the object. Heat refers to a flow of energy between objects but that results in an increase in kinetic energy of the particles within that substance. So heat energy goes into the particles, they are vibrating and moving around more quickly than work does.
