Hume's Critique of Rationalism

Is there a distinction between thought and reason? I feel like there probably is. But do you kind of want to get my line of thought at least? Do I need to flesh that out for a little bit better at all? If you feel like it, please. Again, given this thrownness into the world where we are forced to encounter problems relative to needs, desires, et cetera, that being the genesis of thought. And so reason is kind of like, I think Hume calls it a calm determination. Let me, let me read you this passage.
