The term moped, by at least some people, is used as a generic term for any non motor cycle, motorized two wheel vehicle. You're not on, you don't have your feet on pedals, n or pegs, as you would on a motorcycle. And the throttle control provides the power which drives drive train. It was very rare to see somebody actually peddling a amoped.
