The Permanency of the Infinite
There will not be one body of the universe except by contact, and these will either be finite or infinite in species. If places are finite it is also necessary that the whole should be finite. Anaxegris however speaks absurdly concerning the permanency of the infinite. He says that the infinite itself supports itself, for nothing else contains it. But this is not true, as a thing may be situated in a certain place by force, and not where it is naturally adapted to be. The Infinite abides supported in itself, so likewise whatever part of it is assumed will abide in itself.
