Xenophon Gives a Long Speech to the Assembly
Xenophon gives a long speech to the assembled men of his army. He says they should burn up their wagons and tents so that cattle may not be our captains. If you are looking to cut costs, a crisis is a good time to do that, he tells them. And then he makes another potentially controversial suggestion: "Let us abandon all other superfluous baggage"
