Is the Folder a Reduce or a Scan?

The only thing that gets fed into the next execution in a scan is what would be the result for the previous result. So we didn't want to fold into my knowledge, it's never been used. I almost had an application for it but then I found another way to do it. And so, and just to be clear, the fold, does it do the intermediate results like scan or it does only have a final result like reduce? It has an option. There's six variants. You can scan forward or backward, you can have multiple results or one result.
