The Silence Within Quaker Meetings

Since the founding of the quaker society of friends, members have worshipped in silence so that they can better listen for god's message. Within most meetings have no minister. There are clerks who tend to business matters but no one person is in charge. Rather, any one attending can stand during meeting and share a message they feel comes from true listening and reflection. Some people find it awkward to have to sit in one chair for an hour, and ive found ways of dealing that. We each find our ways of helping the silence.
