The Role of the Pope in the Church

Evan grew up as a Scientologist, so he had to do some research for the film. He found out that Pope Mabelle is bulletproof and John Paul forgave her after an assassination attempt. The movie has exorcists in place of popes because they don't have much faith according to Catholic tradition. It's based on his father Cruz who founded the papacy when Jesus named him St Peter.
