Zeno's Paradoxes Concern Motion

Zeno's paradoxes try to persuade us that if we assume that more than one thing exists, the results are just as bad. For instance, he tried to show that between any two distinct things, there must be an infinity of other things - such as a dicodome and arrow. The only way to escape is to give some explanation of how two things can be touching each other directly without being a single object, because they form a continuous body. Unlike aristotle, melissus played a major role in the history of samos. He may have been younger than zeno, but his philosophy is clearly an attempt to defend parmenides' ideas.
