Uthor won without winning, which is kind of what this Uthor is doing. He goes against his goals because that throws off the betting. One win or even a couple wins makes him famous and all of a sudden his ability to bet on himself gets a lot worse. How eventually like in the military, like if an officer had a squire, servant, sergeant, right? Eventually as the unit gets bigger, you need more of these sergeants to handle breakdown of the units underneath you. If they're successful in a long career, they might have more than one squire.
