The Disadvantages of Glance Journalism

The way a story originally gets covered is often the thing that gets stuck in people's minds. The media never goes back to really that they don't have an incentive to go back and correct things if they got it wrong. I think that that was a really big pivot point for the media is that darrelance journalism was not just that they then left it and moved on to the next story but there were stories that were written that said hands up don't shoot It didn't really matter whether it was said or not what mattered was that it began this movement of narrative over facts. That's something that i believe started the path down the the real dissent that we saw with Ferguson.
