The Role of Intellectuals in the Anti-War Movement

Nick Gillespie: I think there's a part of me that has been at least in a small way inspired by some of these historians that I've written about. He says he is currently thinking about doing a group biography of four key American anti-war intellectuals, including Noam Chomsky and Daniel Ellesberg. All four were involved in the May Day protests in Washington, D.C., which took place in 1971; they're all photographed together just before those events. Gillespie: It's going to take a few years before there's anything there but it sounds really fascinating.
