Israel and Lebanon's Mediterranean Gas Deal Is Good for Europe's Economy

Israel and Lebanon have been arguing over offshore Mediterranean gas fields for almost a decade. But their leaders have now struck a maritime border deal that could unlock rewards for both countries. It's an agreement that would have required buy-in from Hezbollah, the Lebanese Shia militia which sees Israel as its sworn enemy. Western diplomats say this could not come at a better time - Europe needs gas right now since the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
