The Trade War in China - What's the Effect?
The slowdown was happening long before Trump was elected, but it obviously has exasperated things. The other external factor here that we have to consider is obviously the ongoing trade war. It makes things worse, as you said, through sentiment. What the trade war does is it makes inefficiency a bigger issue. And so this erodes potential growth.
