The seed was planted for his next novel about a woman who overcomes her social class and pulls herself up from the ashes of the blitz to the very top of the british wartime establishment. As it is with peter in real life, his lead character overcomes adversity. He's come so far in his writing despite the odds against him, he can't see himself ever stopping.
