In the early 2000s, he proposed turning the name of the business history conference to the society for the history of capitalism or shock. I probably resisted it just because business history conference had been so much a home for me that the, and I, you know, business is something concrete that you understand capitalism is this sort of more abstract notion. No, I don't even remember the discussion, but I will say calling a shock troopers. It's a little weird. I'm not sure I want to be a shock trooper.
