But if you're struggling, if your poll numbers are going down, if you're scrambling to hold what you have, then it becomes a major challenge. It could come as late as February 2025, but while it's in the autumn of 2024,. That means effectively political parties have to be planning to select candidates and get them established. They are probably less than 12 months to do that.
