The Free Exercise Clause and the Establishment Clause
The founders did not think that compulsory church attendance necessarily violated the free exercise clause. That's because a lot of people are simply indifferent to religious services. Michael, do you think that interpretation of these establishment clauses right or not? The idea of an inalienable natural right is a jurisdictional concept.
